The Gateway in Leeds completes second phase of development
Scotfield's The Gateway, one of Leeds landmark buildings, has now completed its second phase of development.
Phase two of the £150m mixed-use development site has added 25,000 sq ft of prime office space, doubling the total of grade 'A' office space now available in the scheme.
Existing tenants include the high profile Breast Cancer Haven and the developer Scotfield's head office who have taken 6000 sq ft and 3000 sq ft of the space on the scheme respectively.
Scotfield have recently celebrated their one year anniversary of moving to their high spec offices and were joined by the Haven in autumn last year.
Stephen Holman, development director at Scotfield comments, "The Gateway has given us the central location we needed with the added benefit of immediate access to the rest of the city and beyond", he continues, "we are confident that other businesses joining us at The Gateway will appreciate the dual benefits this location offers especially during rush hour periods. Breast Cancer Haven selected the gateway over a number of other options last autumn and hasn't looked back since."
The Gateway also incorporates other on site facilities including luxury one and two bed apartments which are now available for sale or to let, the Etap hotel which boasts regular 95% occupancy and a number of retail outlets for the office workers to benefit from.
Stephen continues "the site is full of young blood and get up and go making it a busy, vibrant place to be that benefits from all the on site amenities, ample parking and a great location."
All retail outlets are now occupied and after the final retail letting was achieved with The Gateway Express Convenience Store, the site now includes the Motiv8 Gym, which is looking at expansion to cater for growing members, Aroma Café, Suburban Bar and the Hirst and Miller Hair Studio.
