Blue Steel Set To Shine In East Leeds

The remarkable renaissance of East Leeds continues apace with the news that Blue Steel, a state-of-the-art 155,000 sq ft Warehouse/Distribution unit will be ready for occupation this autumn. Work has just started on Blue Steel, which is being refurbished to the highest specification. The unit is situated just off Pontefract Lane on the route of the East Leeds Radial Link Road, which will form the eastern sector of the city's ring road and join the M1 at Junction 45.



Prominent Rochdale Warehouse Changes Hands

A 40,992 sq ft modern warehouse just off the A627 (M) at Rochdale has been sold, following the surrender of the lease by ACR Logistics, one of Europe's top supply chain companies. Commercial property consultants, Vail Williams finalised the deal on behalf of ACR Logistics, previously known as Hays Logistics, when the company identified the building as surplus to its requirements. The building, which is units 9a and 9b on the Transpennine Trading Estate was leased to ACR Logistics until June 2008.



Edinburgh Company Starts Work On Multi Million Pound Old Town Project

The Edinburgh office of one of the UK's leading property consultants has started work on a multi-million pound project in the heart of the Scottish capital's Old Town.
ChandlerKBS, which delivers cost and project management services to the property and construction industry, has been awarded a contract to act as Employers' Agent for what will be Edinburgh's premier backpackers hostel, which will be located in Blackfriars Street.

The project, a collaboration between Blackfriars Property Developments Ltd and Smart City Hostels, will be completed in early 2006 and will accommodate up to 621 people in the most prestigious hostel in the Capital, boasting en-suite facilities in every room.



Countdown To Construction Work Begins

The final hurdle for plans to transform Kings Waterfront, Liverpool, has been cleared with confirmation from Brussels that the EU will invest £46 million of Objective 1 funding in the proposed development. The approval means that scheme partners Liverpool Vision, national regeneration agency English Partnerships, Liverpool City Council and Northwest Development Agency can now proceed with plans to transform the site into a visitor destination of international quality
