Pentad secures tenant to complete retail line up
Pentad - the centre of Edinburgh's South Gyle area - has now secured a tenant for the last remaining retail unit in its hub building.
The News Stand will provide a much-needed facility, adding to the mix of retail services on offer to Pentad's tenants and other businesses in the local area. The News Stand plans to apply for a sub-Post Office license in the near future.
Let on a 15-year lease, the 1140 sq ft (105.9 sq m) unit completes a line-up which now includes a hairdresser, a Chinese restaurant and sandwich shop. Office Depot the multinational office supplies company, is based in Pentad's first floor offices.
"Having a range of retail and leisure services on the doorstep will help to attract other business to the South Gyle area," said Ian Wall, Chief Executive of the EDI Group. "Pentad is a unique business park development that recognises just how important these facilities are to the office and business occupier."
Once complete, Pentad will provide 17,187 sq m (185,000 sq ft) of Grade A open plan office accommodation over five buildings fanning out from the central courtyard, each with its own gardens.
Ryden acted on behalf of EDI and The News Stand represented themselves.
