MAN Truck & Bus UK Limited expand at Motherwell Park
Acting on behalf of ING Real Estate, the Glasgow office of Jones Lang LaSalle has disposed of the former Motherwell Foods premises to enable the German owned truck and bus manufacturer and repairer, MAN Truck & Bus UK Limited, to expand its existing Depot next door.
The premises, that comprise approximately 1.4 acres of land with 15,000sqft of industrial buildings, are located at Motherwell Park, Bellshill.
Bellshill is arguably Scotland's premier location for distribution, being ideally situated adjacent to the 4 way junction onto the A725, the main link road connecting the M8 (Glasgow/Edinburgh Motorway) and the M74 (Carlisle/Glasgow).
Based in Munich, Germany, the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group is the largest company in the MAN Group and one of the leading international providers of commercial vehicles and transport solutions. With its Head Office based in Swindon, Wiltshire MAN Truck & Bus UK Limited offers a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles, buses, coaches and industrial engines to operators and companies throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK. MAN paid £800,000 and was represented in its purchase negotiations by Alder King.
The combined properties total nearly four acres and construction is underway for the extended state-of-the-art heavy goods vehicle workshops that are due to be completed in May 2009.
