The Hub at Glasgow's Pacific Quay 50% let
Downtown Space, developer of Glasgow's newest property icon, The Hub at Pacific Quay, has announced that thanks to two recent lettings, the building - which was only completed in February of this year - is now 50% let.
First to be signed up since the last raft of new tenants is Safehinge, an exciting and award-winning new company that has created a revolutionary new product that is in high demand from council and educational facilities. Safehinge has taken a second floor suite at the waterfront building, joining several other high-profile new tenants at The Hub.
Also announced as a new Hub tenant is Caboodl, which has developed a social media framework with the functionality for creating, supporting, and building online communities. Caboodl will move into 450 ft² at The Hub and will take occupancy with immediate effect.
These two new lettings mean that the Hub is now 50% let, having achieved practical completion less than six months ago.
The Hub's café bar is also now open, having opened its doors to the public (as well as to Hub tenants and staff from other local businesses) on 1 July.
Offering flexible amounts of space from 127 ft² upwards - as well as flexible leases that will suit both larger companies and individual operators - The Hub's ethos is all about building a 'seriously creative community' at the heart of the new Digital Media Quarter on the banks of the River Clyde.
Ian Robertson, director of Downtown Space, commented: ?To be able to announce that The Hub is now 50% let so soon after completion is very exciting not only for us, the developers, but also for The Hub tenants themselves.. There is a real feeling that the community here is growing and becoming ever more vibrant and diverse, which is what The Hub has always been about.
"The Hub is not simply about offering office space, it's about offering the full package of a quality and well-located working environment married with a quirky and well-run café bar, an events area and management that supports the tenants.
"I believe it is because we have created this offering that we are able to say so quickly that The Hub is more than half let. With current market conditions being what they are, developers must look at what tenants really need, rather than just build yet more generic office space.
