SCOT Sheridan announces West Lothian success

The final phase of SCOT Sheridan's £12 million New Houstoun Business Park in Livingston is currently under offer.

Phases One and Two, comprising 92,000 sq ft of light industrial units, have already been completed with occupiers signed up to date including Cupa Natural Slate, HSS and Tile it All, and additional lettings imminent. A two acre section of the 13 acre site was sold to Business Homes last year and will shortly be occupied.

Now Glasgow-based SCOT Sheridan has announced that it hopes to be on-site in June to construct a bespoke industrial building for a facilities management company on the remaining 1.2 acres at New Houstoun.

SCOT Sheridan expects to have completed the entire development by the end of 2008.

Also in West Lothian, SCOT Sheridan has announced the first letting at its £5.1 million Easter Inch development in Bathgate. City Electrical Factors (CEF) has taken a 3,000 sq ft unit in the 50,000 sq ft light industrial development and interest in a number of the other units is high.

SCOT Sheridan Director, David MacLachlan said; "We have been extremely pleased with the way our New Houstoun development has progressed since we purchased the site and believe that it illustrates the gap in the market that has existed for high quality, flexible business space in the light industrial sector. Our other speculative West Lothian development at Easter Inch, Bathgate is also now complete and interest in the remaining units has increased significantly since the surrounding sites and buildings have also been developed. We're confident that this prime site next to the M8 with its high quality, flexible space will soon attract even more leading business names to the area."
