Lambert Smith Hampton make new appointment in Newcastle
In a move which will further boost its presence in the North East, leading commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has strengthened its Newcastle office with the appointment of Karen Shorten as Head of Industrial Agency.
Karen joins LSH from storeys: ssp, where she spent five years specialising in industrial and warehousing acquisitions and disposals.
Having graduated from the University of Northumbria with a degree in Urban Property Surveying, Karen went on to work for DTZ in its York and Manchester offices, before joining storeys:ssp. She is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Industrial Agents Society.
Karen will work alongside recently-appointed Head of Agency, Stewart Thomson and his five-strong team to provide a first-class, all-encompassing agency service to a variety of regional and national clients, including Valad Property Group, Mandale Commercial, Del Monte, TUI, Synergy Healthcare and Land Securities Trillium.
Karen said: "Joining LSH gives me a great opportunity to be part of a business where I can really add value. Being part of the UK and Ireland's largest commercial property consultancy will be an exciting challenge."
Darron Barker, Head of the Newcastle office, added: "This appointment reinforces LSH's strategy to grow the business in the North East. With Karen now on board, we are confident we have assembled an agency team of the highest calibre and the widest range of experience that will really drive the business forward."
