Forsters lets world's most expensive office space
Property law firm, Forsters, has acted on behalf of the freeholders of 25 Hanover Square London W1 in letting the office space in the building for rents of £100 per square foot. It is believed that this is the first time that any office building has achieved the £100 per square foot level and it is thought to be the most expensive office space in the world.
Forsters acted on all of the lettings to a range of international tenants. Delta Commercial Properties, a subsidiary of a Middle Eastern government, has taken the top four floors of the Mayfair property, while other floors have been let to the Dubai Sovereign Property Corporation and two US hedge funds.
Guy Jordan, the Forsters partner who led the team acting for the freeholders of the building, said: "This is clearly a very prestigious building in a highly sought-after area, and the rents reflect the continuing strength of the London property market. We are delighted to have helped our client achieve these record-breaking lettings."
