Leeds West Riding House lets to The Court Service

The iconic West Riding House in the centre of Leeds has been given a tremendous vote of confidence with the decision of the Court Service to relocate within the building.

The Court Service has signed a new 10-year lease which will take them from the 17th and 18th floors in the building to the recently refurbished 11th and 12th floors.

Guy Cooke, of international property consultancy Knight Frank in Leeds, who is marketing West Riding House with Richard Thornton of King Sturge, commented: "The completion of the reception works will enable prospective tenants to physically see what has been created. This in turn is sure to have a significant positive effect on decision making."

This internal relocation by the Court Service has made available the 17th and 18th floors for future letting which is arguably the premier office space in the building boasting unparalleled views of Leeds.

West Riding House is a mixed-use development of retail and office accommodation situated on Albion Street and Bond Street in Leeds city centre.

In 2008, the research organisation UK Biobank took 5,000 sq ft of space on the 8th floor of the building. Three new retail occupiers have also come on board. In January 2008, Tesco Metro opened its doors for trading on the corner of Bond Street and Basinghall Street spanning over 14,000 sq ft

National health and beauty retailer, Superdrug and the well-established clothing and accessories company, Urban Outfitters signed long term leases on 5,000 sq ft and 9,600 sq ft respectively, further enhancing West Riding House's growing reputation as a premier office and retail location.
