New Edinburgh airport business park ready for lift off
Work is just months from completion on Connect Edinburgh, a £4 million office development located close to Edinburgh Airport.
Agents Cushman & Wakefield have said that there has been considerable interest in the business park, which will be ready for occupation in June.
It is aimed at small and medium sized businesses seeking high quality offices with easy access to Edinburgh city centre and the motorway network.
Situated beside Scotmid's headquarters in Newbridge, Connect Edinburgh will offer offices from 1,335 sq ft up to 19,720 sq ft in two three storey buildings and is aimed at small and medium sized businesses seeking high quality offices with easy access to Edinburgh city centre and the motorway network.
It is being developed by Scotmid Property and Michael Laird architects has designed an innovative modern building with a striking external appearance.
Ryden and Cushman & Wakefield are joint letting agents.
Angela Lowe from Cushman & Wakefield commented: "With limited new development coming through in Edinburgh, Connect Edinburgh is in a fantastic position to attract quality tenants looking for new offices.
"Flexibility has been a key element of the design and the floors can be sub-divided to accommodate up to four tenants. We expect the smaller units, which are suitable for businesses with 10 or more staff, in particular to be snapped up very quickly.
"We have had enquiries both from the local market and from companies further afield keen to move closer to Edinburgh city centre."
Rentals are likely to be in the region of £17.50 per sq ft.
There are a range of excellent amenities nearby including restaurant and hotel facilties. Shopping and leisure facilities can also be found nearby at The Gyle Shopping Centre and Hermiston Gait Retail Park.
